Luna’s Apawthecary Package Giveaway!

As promised, we have a giveaway to do!
Our friend Katie runs a shop on Etsy, where she sells her handmade-with-love items (toys, blankets) for lucky feline companion animals.  Not only is everything beautifully crafted, they go to support a good cause – a portion of the proceeds to go benefit animal shelters.

We have a couple blankets (one of them is in a cupcake pattern, of course) and catnip filled toys for our kitties from Luna’s Apawthecary and they are totally crazy for them.

Here’s proof!

Here’s your chance to win this nice package with a 1 yd x 1 yd blanket and two organic catnip stuffed toys, which will ship internationally.  The winner gets to choose the design of their choice from the Luna’s Apawthecary shop.

See how cute they are?!

In the comments below, tell us what it is about your companion animal (feline, canine, any kind!) that makes you laugh or roll your eyes.  It could be a hilarious personality quirk or habit; or even a specific story.

One entry per person will be counted.  Contest runs until July 27th, 2011, 7:00pm EST.  Using a random number generator, one entry will be selected and the winner will be notified by email and announced on the blog.

**For one bonus entry, tweet about this giveaway including a link to this blog entry, and in the comments below provide the direct link to your tweet.**

The contest is now closed!
Using a random number generator, comment #3 has been selected as the contest winner.

  1. What a great giveaway! The catnip-filled toy and the blanket certainly have Tristan's seal of approval, don't they? (I couldn't help but laugh at Gershwin's "What? Is that my cue?" stare. Poor kitty!)When it's my silly cat Rebus' meal time, I always ask him, "Are you hungry?" and, no matter what he's doing, he instantly perks up and answers with a special chirp. I adopted him almost 4 years ago (coincidentally, July 27th is his adoption day) and I still find it hilarious!

  2. We've only had our kitty for a month now, but I don't know how we ever got along without him. He loves to play and we'll chase each other around the house and if you jump out and surprise him he just jumps straight in the air, flings his arms open and hugs your leg. Then runs off and waits for you to walk by so he can do it again. We do this every night before he comes to bed and lays down with us for cuddles.

  3. Our cat Lexie is a big goofball. Every evening we give our cats snacks and instead of eating at her bowl she prefers her snacks to be inside a cat carrier. Sometimes she'll stand outside the carrier and eat them but usually she goes inside it to eat them!

  4. Benjamin seems to think getting up in the morning is a game…he tries to get under my feet as I put them on the ground, then races me to the bathroom to get in the shower before I do. He looks so pleased with himself when he is successful, it makes it hard to have a bad morning when it's a game like that…silly kitty.

  5. My little Arte thinks she is a dog. She begs for food, she once stole taco chips out of my bowl and brought them down to the floor to snack on. She loves tummy rubs, flops back n forth all cute when you rub her! She is always a huge brat, squeaking and meowing at my door every morning at 6am for her food. But I love my dirty little begger cat and I wouldn't trade her for the world. My other cat Wiley, is quite the character, he's in his teenage years now and likes to pretend like I don't exist most days. He has a little bent paw from being hit by a car and likes to give what I call, choptick hugs. His little arms somewhat resemble the asian eating utensils when he wraps them around my arms to say hi!

  6. Aw, Tristan has grown up so much, I remember what a tiny wee thing he was when you got him!Venger has the most expressive wee face, especially when he's being a jerk to me, so I can't help but laugh. His favourite is to scratch the hell out of the couch whilst looking at me wherever I am in the room, seemingly going "look what I'm doing! Lookit! Hahahahaha! Nernernernerner! I DARE you to stop me." Or when I don't get him his favourite food he looks at what he has been given then looks back up at me with an face of "And just WHAT is THIS supposed to be? Explain yourself, woman!"It's hilarious.
